FAQ

Virtual production is a broad term used to describe a wide range of computer-based production and visualization filmmaking tools. It integrates physical and virtual components through a range of software tools. 

Studios can film on one stage while displaying virtual graphics in real time. To display a change in locations is as easy as changing a background on your personal computer. The directors and film crew involved can see the final film data and make changes immediately.

Backgrounds are transferred to LED Walls. Those are often set up in a semicircle film studio. The backgrounds or environments that are being displayed on the LED walls are created on the computer beforehand – typically with game engines like Unreal Engine.
